When Saving Isn't Possible, Gentle Is Everything

Our first instinct is always preservation; a natural tooth is worth fighting for. But some teeth, fractured below the gumline, decayed beyond restoration, hopelessly loose from gum disease, or crowding orthodontic plans, serve you better gone. When that day comes, technique and compassion make all the difference.

What Makes an Extraction Comfortable

Complete anesthesia, verified. You should feel pressure, never pain, and we confirm before we begin. Sedation on request. Laughing gas or oral sedation turns a dreaded appointment into a calm one. Sedation Dentistry 3D planning for complex cases. Curved roots, impactions, and teeth near nerves are mapped in advance, not discovered mid-procedure. Cone Beam 3D Imaging Atraumatic technique. We work to preserve the surrounding bone, which matters enormously if an implant is in your future.

Socket Preservation

When a tooth is removed, the bone that held it begins shrinking within weeks. If you may ever want an implant or need support for a bridge or denture, a socket preservation graft at the time of extraction maintains the bone, a small step then that saves cost and complexity later. Bone Grafting

Healing Well

You will leave with clear written instructions. The essentials: bite on gauze to establish the clot, no straws, smoking, or vigorous rinsing for 48 to 72 hours (these dislodge the clot and cause painful dry socket), soft foods for a few days, and gentle salt-water rinses after the first day. Most discomfort is well controlled with over-the-counter medication and fades within days. Anything unusual, call us; that is what we are here for.
