A dental implant is not one procedure; it is a small sequence of them. The final fee depends on how many of these steps your mouth actually needs:
The implant itself. A titanium post surgically placed in the jawbone, which fuses with the bone over several months to become your new tooth root.
The abutment and crown. The connector and the visible porcelain tooth that attach to the implant once it has healed.
Preparatory procedures, if required. Some patients need an extraction first, or bone grafting to rebuild an area where bone has shrunk after years without a tooth. Others need neither.
Imaging and planning. A cone beam 3D scan is the standard of care for safe implant placement, and it is one reason modern implant success rates exceed 95%.
In BC, a single dental implant with its abutment and crown commonly falls in the range of $4,000 to $6,500 all-in, with straightforward cases at the lower end and cases requiring grafting or sinus work above it. Full-arch solutions and multiple implants are quoted case by case. Beware of advertised prices that quote only the implant post; the crown and abutment are not optional, and a quote that omits them is not a real quote.
